DJ Kennard, hailing from Falls Church, Northern Virginia, is a stand-out athlete at 6’3, 205lbs. At Falls Church High School, Kennard’s exceptional defensive stats, including 90 tackles, ten pass breakups, two interceptions, and two forced fumbles, earned him accolades as first-team all-district and all-region for DB, WR, and Kick returner. His prowess extended to the offensive side, where he amassed an impressive 1413 receiving yards and ten touchdowns. Recognized for his leadership, Kennard served as team captain for both football and basketball teams.

Despite being a versatile athlete, his recruitment took a hit, like millions of other athletes, due to COVID-19. With limited opportunities, he decided to attend Palmetto Prep Postgraduate in South Carolina. Kennard immediately impacted as a defensive back, leveraging his length and ball skills to excel on the field.

Known for his prowess in press coverage, Kennard used his long arms to reroute opposing receivers at the line of scrimmage to disrupt their timing. While he possesses impressive speed, he continues to refine his backpedal technique to avoid getting too high. A formidable presence in run support, he isn’t afraid to deliver punishing hits to running backs and receivers. However, he occasionally struggles with being overly physical downfield, an area he aims to improve upon.
