Amidst the crowded defensive back rooms across college football, we foresee Zachary Manning, standing at 6’0 and weighing 180 pounds, earning a spot on a Division 1 depth chart by Fall 2025. Manning is a versatile prospect capable of excelling as both an outside corner and a slot corner. Throughout his junior year, he faced a barrage of targets, showcasing his battle-hardened skills in coverage. While he typically holds his ground and boasts a commendable success rate in 50-50 situations, he has surrendered some substantial gains and occasionally loses focus. There’s room for improvement in refining his technique and consistently disrupting receivers’ routes. Despite spending a significant portion of his junior season in zone coverage, Manning must adapt to covering over the top. 

While Manning could potentially be recruited as a nickel, his true potential appears to lie in playing on the outside. His elongated strides and knack for intercepting passes and predicting routes make him a formidable presence for opposing quarterbacks to contend with in the secondary.
