During her freshman year, Figueira competed at the junior varsity level as a setter, where she immediately assumed a leadership role as team captain. Entrusted with running the full offensive system, she earned consistent playing time throughout the season and quickly established herself as the team’s on-court decision-maker. The experience proved to be both impactful and foundational, strengthening her leadership presence, sharpening her in-game reads, and accelerating her development as a floor general.
During her sophomore season, Figueira continued competing with her travel program while earning a spot on the varsity roster at Manchester Valley. She began the year setting in a 6–2 system with a center split, sharing time as she adjusted to the speed and demands of the varsity level. As the season progressed, the team transitioned into a 5–1 offense, and Figueira stepped into the role of full-time setter, taking command of the system and guiding the attack with growing confidence and composure.
Her sophomore year also showcased her athletic versatility beyond the volleyball court. Competing in track and field, she captured the county championship in the 1v1 event, underscoring her explosiveness, competitiveness, and multi-sport ability — traits that translate directly into her quickness, court coverage, and leadership in volleyball.
Her junior season marked a pivotal step in her development both at the club and high school levels. Competing with her travel team under head coach Matt Troy, now the women’s volleyball coach at Elon University, she played a key role in guiding the program through a highly competitive schedule and ultimately to a Nationals appearance. The experience of training and competing under collegiate-level leadership sharpened her understanding of tempo, offensive structure, and high-pressure execution, while contributing to a strong, cohesive team culture.
At Manchester Valley, the season proved equally memorable. She helped lead her team to a statement victory over rival Westminster, a defining moment that reflected not only team progress but also her own growth in confidence, composure, and competitive presence. The win underscored her evolution into a poised floor general capable of steering her team through high-stakes matchups.
Her senior season reflected a polished and complete body of work. Operating in a 5–1 system for the second consecutive year, she maintained full playing time and took full command of the offense, directing tempo and distribution with confidence and control. With an experienced and cohesive roster around her, the team developed strong chemistry and made a deep postseason run, underscoring both collective growth and her steady leadership at the setter position.
As she closes out her high school career, she now turns her focus toward her upcoming senior club season, eager to build on that momentum against high-level travel competition and continue refining her game on a national stage.
