URA EVALUATION
At 6’1″ and 205 pounds, Lex Sevilla brings the dynamic skill set of a true dual-threat quarterback. His skillset as a passer and a runner allows him to extend plays and challenge defenses in multiple ways. He shows quick decision-making under pressure, smartly reads coverages, and delivers accurate passes, both on the move and from the pocket. His athleticism gives him strong pocket movement and the ability to turn broken plays into positive gains, although elite arm strength and deep-ball zip remain areas for continued development.
While he may lack top-tier physical stature and explosive speed, his precision, football IQ, and dual-threat capability earn him a projected UR4★ recruiting grade, with strong potential to develop into a multi-year starter at the FCS/FBS -G5 levels.
Lex Sevilla began his middle school football career as the starting quarterback for the 14U team at just 12 years old. That season, his team reached the championship game, ultimately falling short. The following year, however, he faced setbacks on the field and was benched—a turning point that ignited his determination. Instead of letting it discourage him, he used it as motivation to elevate his mental and physical preparation, setting the stage for a successful high school career.
Lex secured the starting quarterback position on the junior varsity team as a freshman, leading his team to a remarkable 9–1 record and clinching the Conference Title. Over the season, he completed an impressive 1,300 passing yards with 11 touchdowns, while also rushing for 300 yards and scoring five additional touchdowns on the ground.
As a sophomore, Lex led the junior varsity team to an undefeated season and claimed another conference championship. Simultaneously, he served as the varsity backup quarterback, where his coaches crafted specialized packages to highlight his dual-threat abilities, though the team ultimately fell short in the playoffs. On the JV field, he passed for 1,500 yards with 17 touchdowns, rushed for 400 yards and scored nine touchdowns, and was limited to just two interceptions. His on-field success was mirrored by his academics, earning him All-Conference Academic honors. In varsity action, he added 137 rushing yards and one touchdown to his résumé, demonstrating his impact at both levels.
As a rising junior entering his 2025 season, Lex is one of the state’s top “stock-riser” QBs—his blend of accuracy, athleticism, and football IQ make him a dynamic threat and a standout collegiate candidate
