Antwain Banks is a dynamic playmaker from Baltimore, Maryland, whose football journey began with the Parkside Warriors, where he became a three-time national champion and earned multiple overall and offensive MVP honors from youth ball through college competition. His rise continued at Edgewood High School, where he led the state of Maryland in production and developed a reputation as a reliable, explosive, and high-IQ athlete who elevates his performance when the stakes are highest.
Banks competes with passion, controlled aggression, and a sophisticated understanding of the game. His versatility makes him one of the most valuable all-purpose weapons on any roster—impacting the field as a wide receiver, punt returner, kick returner, field-goal holder, and on special teams units such as punt block. He thrives in open space, changes momentum instantly, and consistently raises the level of those around him. Coaches value his instincts, effort, and ability to create game-defining plays in critical moments.
Off the field, Banks is a senior psychology major with aspirations to become a sports psychologist, driven by a mission to help athletes and adults master stress, unlock potential, and succeed with confidence. His goals for the season include surpassing 2,000 all-purpose yards and scoring 15+ touchdowns, while continuing to build his draft stock and prepare for the professional level. Beyond statistics, he aims to inspire youth in his community—proving that discipline, resilience, and love for the game can help anyone overcome adversity and achieve greatness.
URA EVALUATION
Antwain Banks is an explosive and highly reliable slot receiver whose clutch production, short-area quickness, and ability to win in high-leverage moments make him an immediate value-add for a college program seeking veteran playmaking. Banks thrives in space, consistently separating with tempo manipulation, sharp route detail, and natural leverage understanding. His ability to settle into soft zones, avoid contact at the stem, and snap into his breaks with precision allows quarterbacks to trust him as a first-read option — a trait not common at his position.
He excels on third-down conversions, in the red zone, and in late-game situations, and his history of making plays when the moment matters most elevates the offense’s efficiency and confidence. Banks is not just a receiver; he’s a problem-solver — the type of player who erases coordinator stress, extends drives, and converts possessions into points. His background as a multi-phase contributor — punt returner, kick returner, holder, and special teams asset — gives him a professional-level portfolio. Programs seeking instant production from a mature athlete will value his football intelligence, versatility, and ability to play anywhere in a modern offense. Banks brings more than speed and movement; he brings answers.
SAINT FRANCES ACADEMY (Baltimore, MD)
His high school career began at Saint Francis High School, where he earned early playing time as a freshman. Although he appeared in just one game before suffering a season-ending wrist injury, that brief opportunity became a defining moment. Confronting adversity so early in his development fueled his determination, driving him to attack his recovery with urgency and discipline. The setback not only strengthened his mentality and work ethic but also deepened his appreciation for the game, ultimately shaping the competitor he is today.
KENWOOD HIGH SCHOOL
During his sophomore year at Kenwood High School, he transitioned into a new role on the defensive side of the ball as a defensive back, Banks embraced the challenge with maturity and a team-first mindset. Although his offensive and special teams usage did not initially reflect his full skill set, he remained committed to excelling wherever he was needed. He finished the season with over 25 tackles and 2 interceptions, displaying the athleticism, instincts, and ball-hawking ability that would later define his versatility.
Late in the year, the coaching staff began to recognize his offensive upside, providing him opportunities to contribute with the ball in his hands. He made the most of those moments, closing the season with a touchdown and proving he could impact the game on both sides of the field. That sophomore campaign became a pivotal chapter in his development—teaching him patience, resilience, and the value of mastering multiple roles. It laid the groundwork for the all-purpose player he would ultimately become.
EDGEWOOD HIGH SCHOOL
His junior year at Edgewood High School marked the true turning point of his high school career. After transferring into the program, the coaching staff immediately recognized his potential and placed the ball in his hands in high-impact situations. After lossing their starting quarterback in the summer, Head Coach Charles Johnson scrambled to find someone to fill the role as the teams quarterback. Once again Banks stepped up to the challenge. That trust ignited a breakout season in which he emerged as one of the most dominant offensive players in the state.
He finished the year ranked 1st in Maryland and 3A division in rushing with 1,544 yards on 126 carries, 1st in Maryland and 3A division in touchdowns with 20, and 1st Maryland and 3A division in total yards with 2,629—production that quickly separated him from his peers.
His performance earned him All-Metro Mention, All-Conference, and All-County honors, while local media outlets began covering his rise and crowds increasingly showed up to witness it firsthand.
The defining moment came in the playoffs against Franklin High School a Maryland 3A powerhouse, he scored all three of Edgewood’s touchdowns, powering the team to a historic postseason victory. That season didn’t just elevate his profile; it solidified his identity as a game-changing, go-to weapon capable of taking over games and leading a team when everything is on the line.
Antwain’s speed, explosiveness, and agility was unmatched in the State of Maryland as he redefined how to beat many of Maryland’s biggest programs.
EDGEWOOD HIGH SCHOOL
His senior year represented the culmination of his development and a clear demonstration of his mastery of the game. As the game slowed down for him, his decision-making, efficiency, and overall command of the field elevated to another level. Despite being utilized primarily at quarterback—rather than at his natural positions of wide receiver and return specialist—he continued to produce at an elite level, leading the state and his division in multiple major offensive categories. Even without film showcasing his true position, he proved he could elevate an offense from anywhere on the field.
He finished the 2018 season ranked 1st in the state and 3A division in scoring and touchdowns (26), 2nd in the state and 1st in 3A division rushing with 1,686 yards on 131 carries, 5th in the state and 1st in 3A division in total yards with 2,498, and 1st in the 3A division in total yards. His performance earned him All-Metro Mention, All-Conference, and All-County honors, along with an invitation to the prestigious Crab Bowl, a showcase reserved for the top high school players in Maryland.
Senior year solidified his identity as a versatile, dynamic, system-proof playmaker capable of thriving wherever he is placed. Although limited recruitment stemmed from the lack of film at his natural positions of slot receiver, his production revealed his football intelligence, adaptability, and leadership—traits that translate seamlessly to the collegiate level and beyond.
Lincoln University 2022
Recruited as a slot receiver and return specialist, Lincoln became the environment where Banks fully emerged as a multidimensional weapon. Bowie State University 2024
At Bowie State, he immediately emerged as a playmaker, though his path there was far from conventional. Bowie State heavily recruited him out of high school, but uncertainty surrounded his projection at the collegiate level. Nearly all of his high school accolades came at quarterback—a position the program did not need—which made coaches hesitant to offer more than a preferred walk-on spot without sufficient film at receiver or special teams.
Determined to prove he was far more than the limitations placed on his high school tape, Banks used that doubt as fuel. He believed those who passed on him had overlooked a unique talent, a realization that later became evident when those same programs were forced to face him during his standout performances at Lincoln (PA). His journey became a testament to his versatility, resilience, and refusal to let positional labels define his ceiling.

Bowie State University 2025
In his final season, Banks made his presence felt every time he stepped onto the field. A true momentum shifter, he consistently delivered when the game called for a hero. Whether it was converting a 4th-and-20 with a game-winning scramble or threading a clutch red-zone pass to keep his team within striking distance, Banks proved he was the player coaches trusted when the margin for error disappeared. His ability to create in pressure situations didn’t just extend drives—it changed outcomes. Game after game, he demonstrated that his value went far beyond statistics; he was the spark that ignited an offense, the competitor who embraced the moment, and the playmaker opponents had no answer for.
