Brock moved to Prosper in seventh grade and immediately took over as the starting quarterback at Rogers Middle School. A natural leader and competitor, he embraced the excitement of Friday nights, bus rides with his teammates, and the responsibility that comes with being the focal point of an offense. His strong, accurate passing ability, paired with mobility in the pocket and the instinct to scramble for yards, made him a dual-threat quarterback who consistently produced. Yet, even while leading the offense, he found his passion beginning to shift, every snap at quarterback only deepened his desire to play defense. Despite performing well under center, he knew his true calling was on the other side of the ball, where his physicality, instincts, and mentality could shine.
Brock opened his freshman year at quarterback and made an immediate impact, delivering a perfectly placed touchdown pass to the corner of the end zone on his very first throw, sending the crowd into a frenzy. As much as he enjoyed that moment, he felt a deeper pull toward the defensive side of the ball. Recognizing his growing frame, physicality, and instincts, he believed his long-term future was on defense.
Shortly afterward, he approached his coaches and expressed his desire to transition roles. With their support, he began training as a safety, spending the next several months learning footwork, reads, and movement patterns from his coaches and a private trainer. The decision marked a turning point in his development, allowing him to tap into his true identity as a defensive playmaker.
Brock during his sophomore season made the full transition to defense, quickly proving to coaches that it was the best decision for him. Earning the starting job at free safety, he became the anchor of the secondary and a tone-setter for the entire unit. He recorded 67 total tackles, leading the defense with his range, physicality, and fearless approach to the football. His combination of speed, strength, and downhill explosiveness allowed him to deliver decisive strikes and shut down offensive threats in space. His dominance didn’t go unnoticed, he was named Defensive MVP for his team and earned Academic All-District honors, showcasing excellence both on the field and in the classroom. His sophomore year wasn’t just a breakout season; it solidified his identity as a defensive leader and a legitimate next-level prospect.
During his junior year, Brock suffered a knee injury that sidelined him and prevented him from competing. Despite months of intense rehabilitation and unwavering mental discipline that put him in position to return, the timing of his recovery meant he was not able to see the field that season.
In Brock’s final season, he not only dominated, he overperformed everyone’s expectations. During his junior year, the coaching staff had discussed transitioning him to middle linebacker, and that is where he opened his senior season. On the very first play of the first game, he exploded into the backfield for a quarterback sack, from their he never looked back.
At linebacker, his production was noticeable by opposing teams. In just two games he posted 48 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, 7 QB hurries, 1 touchdown, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery. Brock approaches the game with passion, purpose, and a learner’s mentality. He understands that football is a privilege and an opportunity not just to play, but to grow. As he looks ahead to the next chapter, he is eager to elevate his development, compete at the college level, and continue building toward his ultimate goal. The journey has tested him, strengthened him, and shaped him, and now, he’s ready for what’s next.
Recently, Brock demonstrated his strength and work ethic by successfully lifting 355 pounds, proving he is not only a highly astute athlete but also a relentless workout warrior. His dedication in the weight room reflects the same intensity and focus he brings to the field, further solidifying his reputation as a player committed to maximizing his potential.
