BIOGRAPHY
Kallen Martinez is an elite defensive back in the Class of 2026, currently competing at Armwood High School in Seffner, Florida. A former player for IMG Academy’s National Team, Kallen stands out for his exceptional size, speed, and versatility in the secondary. Measuring 6’3″ and 185 lbs, he has recorded elite athletic testing numbers, including a 4.48 forty-yard dash and a 10’5” broad jump. His football journey began just a few years ago, but he has rapidly distinguished himself through national camp invites, top-performer honors, and leadership in tackles during his sophomore season.
Whether at safety or cornerback, Kallen consistently demonstrates high-level instincts, closing speed, and discipline. Kallen’s athletic foundation extends far beyond football. Before dedicating himself to the gridiron, he trained with world-class soccer academies, including FC Barcelona’s Barca Academy in Europe and Sporting KC in the U.S., and earned MVP honors in international basketball tournaments. However, what sets him apart even more is the environment in which he was raised. As the son of a U.S. Army Special Forces “Green Beret,” Kallen has internalized the mindset of elite performance, discipline under pressure, and relentless adaptability. He’s attended 16 schools across continents due to frequent moves, often thriving while living independently and managing his academic and athletic obligations with maturity far beyond his years.
Off the field, Kallen is a high-achieving student with a 3.9 GPA and membership in the National Honor Society. His coaches routinely praise his coachability, resilience, and team-first mentality. As he enters his senior year in one of Florida’s most competitive high school football landscapes, Kallen is already attracting attention from Division I programs. With his combination of verified athleticism, academic discipline, and a Green Beret-caliber mindset, he is uniquely positioned to excel at the next level—both on the field and in the classroom.
As a sophomore safety for IMG Academy’s White Team, he tallied 27 total tackles, along with one interception and one pass breakup over the course of the season.
As a junior, Kallen showed significant game development, demonstrating his versatility by making an impact on both sides of the ball and excelling at multiple positions while competing against some of the top nationally ranked teams in the country.
Heading into his senior year, Kallen now plays for Armwood High School, where he has quickly established himself as a vocal leader and cornerstone of the secondary. His on-field IQ, physicality, and leadership have made him a go-to player in high-pressure situations.
Recently, Kallen committed to the University of Connecticut (UConn), solidifying his place as a rising prospect at the next level. His growth from a freshman standout at IMG Academy to a committed D1 athlete reflects both his work ethic and versatility. As he prepares for his final high school season, Kallen continues to lead by example—both on the field and in the locker room—while sharpening his game for the next chapter at UConn.
