BIOGRAPHY
London Vickroy, born and raised in Central Ohio, developed a passion for football at an early age through constant exposure to the sport. Coming from an athletic family—his mother a former Buckeye basketball player and his father a former Division III football player at Capital University—Vickroy inherited both a love for competition and natural physical gifts.
URA EVALUATION
London Vickroy owns an ideal frame for an edge defender with outstanding length, highlighted by an 82-inch wingspan and a quick first step that allows him to consistently win at the line of scrimmage. Shows natural explosiveness off the snap with the ability to bend, close space, and disrupt plays in the backfield. His track background—running 16.3 in the 110-meter hurdles at 235 pounds—illustrates rare athleticism and fluidity for his size. Uses length effectively to keep blockers off his frame and demonstrates developing hand usage to shed and finish.
Early skill set is reminiscent of Sam Hubbard (Ohio State/Cincinnati Bengals) — long, athletic, disruptive, and still developing into a complete every-down defender. He is a multi-year Group of 5 starter with potential to outperform his recruiting ranking and an athlete you just might see playing on Sundays.
London Vickroy began his high school career at Westerville South High School as a 6’2”, 175-pound defensive end competing on the freshman team. Though not the biggest player on the field, he stood out with his relentless motor and natural advantage in length. By Week 9 of his freshman season, his head coach recognized his potential and moved him up to varsity. While his snaps were limited, Vickroy maximized his opportunities, recording five tackles in just six minutes of action during his varsity debut in the first round of the playoffs. Despite the team’s eventual third-round playoff exit, it was evident that Vickroy would play a much larger role entering his sophomore year.
London Vickroy’s sophomore season marked his breakout year. Though still considered somewhat undersized, he added two inches of height, growing to 6’4” and 195 pounds, and quickly made his presence felt. He earned early snaps in Weeks 1 and 2, recording 3 tackles in his season debut and following with 8 tackles and 2 tackles for loss in Week 2. His performance secured him the starting edge role, where he became a cornerstone of Westerville South’s defense for the remainder of the year. Vickroy finished the season with 48 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, and a forced fumble, earning Second Team All-Conference honors and solidifying himself as one of the top young defensive prospects in the region.
London Vickroy’s junior year was the best of his career to date, as he transformed his frame to 215 pounds in the offseason, adding the strength to battle bigger offensive linemen while maintaining the speed and burst that make him dangerous off the edge. His impact showed consistently, with standout performances in multiple key matchups. In Week 4 against Dublin Scioto, Vickroy tallied 8 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 2 sacks. In Week 7 against Delaware Hayes, facing four-star running back Favour Akih, he delivered 10 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and a sack. The following week, he added 9 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and 2 forced fumbles, again proving his disruptive presence in the backfield. In Week 10, he closed the regular season with 5 tackles and 2 sacks, including one for a 16-yard loss.
For the year, Vickroy posted 68 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 8 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles, nearly doubling his production from the year prior. His dominance earned him Second Team All-Conference and Second Team All-District honors, solidifying him as one of Central Ohio’s premier defensive prospects in the Class of 2026.
As he prepares for his senior season, London Vickroy enters Week 1 with a new level of physicality to match his proven explosiveness. Now up to 240 pounds, he has developed the strength to complement his speed off the edge, making him a more complete and dominant defender. With his blend of size, power, and quickness, Vickroy is poised for a breakout campaign, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him earn All-State recognition by season’s end.
