URA EVALUATION

Xavier Cannady is a physical, interior offensive line prospect with a strong frame and the versatility to play multiple positions across the line. Primarily working at the center, he brings size, toughness, and leadership experience as a multi-year varsity contributor and team captain for the Dunbar Poets. Cannady shows solid functional strength at the point of attack, with the ability to anchor against interior defenders and maintain leverage in the run game. He plays with a physical mindset, looking to engage and finish blocks, and demonstrates a willingness to compete snap after snap. His experience at center highlights his understanding of offensive schemes, communication, and pre-snap responsibilities, traits that translate well to the next level.

In pass protection, he displays adequate base and balance, with the ability to hold his ground against interior pressure. Continued development in footwork, hand placement, and lateral quickness will help elevate his effectiveness against quicker defensive linemen. His positional flexibility to play guard and potentially tackle adds value, while his leadership and work ethic stand out as intangibles that coaches look for in an offensive lineman. Cannady’s consistent effort and competitive approach reflect a player committed to improving his overall game.
