BIOGRAPHY
Aaron Rawson is a sophomore middle linebacker from Dulaney HS in Timonium, Maryland. Rawson brings both middle and outside linebacker experience, as well as roles as a nose tackle, fullback, offensive lineman, and on special teams. His early play as a starter has showcased strong endurance, reliability, consistency, and toughness against Baltimore County’s top performers.
Known as a physical defender, Rawson excels at stopping the run. He plays with aggression and discipline, showing the ability to shed blocks, pursue ball carriers, and make impactful tackles. His football instincts, combined with his willingness to do whatever the team needs, make him a dependable presence on both defense and special teams. Coaches consistently praise his ability to quickly learn schemes and perform effectively in multiple roles, highlighting his team-first mentality and adaptability.
Off the field, Rawson is committed to year-round development. He trains consistently in strength and conditioning and works with Derrick McPhearson at MacFit to improve his speed, agility, and overall athleticism. In addition, he competes in track and field, where he throws the shot put, which helps build the power, explosiveness, and core strength that translate directly to his performance on the football field. With a strong work ethic, Rawson hopes to one day achieve his goal of playing in the NFL.

As a versatile, physical linebacker prospect, Aaron Rawson has already shown the traits college coaches look for as a sophomore. At 6’0”, 200 pounds, he possesses a solid frame with room to continue adding strength and mass, projecting well into a traditional inside linebacker role.
Rawson’s game is built around toughness and run-stopping ability. He plays downhill with intent, shows a willingness to take on contact, and consistently works to shed blocks and finish plays. His ability to play multiple positions, including linebacker, nose tackle, and even offensive roles, speaks to his football IQ and adaptability, two traits that stand out on film.
One of his biggest strengths is his motor and endurance. Playing extended snaps across all four quarters, highlighting both his conditioning and reliability. He processes schemes quickly and shows comfort executing different responsibilities, which makes him a valuable asset in multiple defensive packages and on special teams
Aaron Rawson began his football career in 8th grade, playing recreational football on both the offensive and defensive lines and occasionally at middle linebacker. Early on, he showed physicality and potential in the trenches, earning the Daniel Morris Award as the top offensive lineman on his team. His season ended on a tough note when he suffered a broken leg in the final game. Despite the setback, the experience built his toughness and laid the foundation for the work ethic he carried into high school. Additionally, Rawson was a standout travel AAU soccer player and competitive gymnast completing at a high level since he was a child.
Aaron Rawson’s freshman season was a challenging start to his high school career. After a broken arm at the end of middle school, he entered the season still recovering physically and adjusting to high school football demands. Primarily a backup at middle linebacker and fullback, Rawson appeared in about four games with limited playing time. Despite few opportunities, the year was important for his development. It helped him learn the system, build confidence, and start adapting to varsity speed and physicality.
As a team captain, Rawson took a major step forward during his sophomore campaign, showing clear improvement after a strong offseason of training. Working with Derrick McPhearson, he focused on developing his speed, strength, and athleticism, which translated directly onto the field.He emerged as a key contributor at middle linebacker while also showcasing his versatility by taking reps across multiple positions. His impact and consistency earned him JV Defensive Player of the Year honors, highlighting his growth and production on defense.
As the season progressed, Rawson’s performance led to a call-up to varsity, where he made the most of his opportunities. In limited action, he recorded two tackles in three plays, demonstrating his ability to produce at a higher level. By the end of the season, he was named linebacker captain on varsity, reflecting both his leadership and work ethic.He continues to build on that momentum, training consistently with McPhearson and competing in track and field to further improve his explosiveness and overall performance.
Going into his junior season, Rawson learned he would once again be selected as a team captain.
Heading into his senior year, his goal is to put everything together and perform at the highest level. He plans to continue developing his strength, technique, and football IQ while leading by example both on and off the field. He aims to be a key contributor to his team’s success and help position them for another championship run.
His focus will remain on consistency, discipline, and playing with intensity every game. This season is about proving he is ready for the next level and demonstrating to college coaches that he has the work ethic, leadership, and skill set to succeed within their program.
