URA Athlete Participation & Parent Consent Policy
Our Mission
Under Recruited Athlete (URA) exists to educate, promote, and support student-athletes and their families through media exposure, personal branding, NIL education, recruiting awareness, merchandise opportunities, affiliate partnerships, and athlete development resources. URA is a media, branding, education, and athlete advocacy platform. URA is not a college recruiting service, sports agency, legal advisor, financial advisor, or representative of any college, university, athletic department, conference, collective, or governing body.
Participation in any URA service does not guarantee athletic scholarships, college roster opportunities, NIL compensation, endorsements, sponsorships, professional contracts, social media growth, merchandise sales, admissions decisions, recruiting interest, or financial success.
Parent & Guardian Consent Requirement
Any athlete under the age of 18 must obtain the approval of a parent or legal guardian before participating in any URA service, including but not limited to:
- URA Subscription Programs
- URA Branded Athlete Program
- NIL Collective Programs
- Affiliate Partnership Programs
- Merchandise Programs
- Sponsorship Opportunities
- Athlete Profiles
- Social Media Promotions
- Recruiting Exposure Services
- Educational Courses
- Events, Camps, Seminars, and Workshops
By registering, subscribing, purchasing, or participating, the parent or legal guardian certifies that they have reviewed and approved the athlete’s participation. URA reserves the right to request verification of parental consent at any time.
NIL & Compliance Disclaimer
Athletes and families are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with:
- NCAA regulations
- NAIA regulations
- NJCAA regulations
- NFHS regulations
- State NIL laws
- School district policies
- Team policies
- Conference regulations
- Institutional guidelines
URA does not provide legal advice and cannot guarantee NIL eligibility or compliance. Athletes are encouraged to consult their school, athletic department, compliance office, legal counsel, or trusted advisors before entering NIL agreements.
Affiliate Program Policy
URA affiliate partnerships are intended to provide educational, promotional, and business opportunities for eligible athletes and supporters.
URA reserves the right to:
- Approve or deny affiliate applications
- Remove affiliates at any time
- Investigate suspicious activity
- Withhold commissions resulting from fraudulent transactions
- Cancel commissions tied to refunds, chargebacks, abuse, or policy violations
Any attempt to manipulate affiliate earnings through fraudulent purchases, self-referrals, fake accounts, bots, deceptive practices, or unauthorized marketing methods may result in immediate termination and forfeiture of commissions.
Merchandise & NIL Store Policy
Athletes participating in merchandise, NIL apparel, or branded product programs are solely responsible for ensuring they possess the legal right to use:
- Names
- Nicknames
- Images
- Likenesses
- Signatures
- Personal logos
- Slogans
- Brand marks
URA is not responsible for unauthorized use of third-party trademarks, school logos, copyrighted materials, or intellectual property submitted by athletes or families. URA reserves the right to reject, remove, or modify designs that may violate intellectual property rights or applicable laws.
Athlete Code of Conduct
All URA participants agree to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the values of sportsmanship, integrity, accountability, and respect.
URA reserves the right to suspend or remove athletes, affiliates, subscribers, ambassadors, or participants who engage in:
- Fraudulent activities
- Criminal conduct
- Harassment
- Hate speech
- Threats
- Bullying
- Misrepresentation
- Academic dishonesty
- Activities that damage the reputation of URA or its partners
Participation in URA programs is a privilege and may be revoked at URA’s discretion.
Athlete Information & Accuracy
Athletes and families are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted to URA is accurate and truthful, including:
- Academic information
- Athletic statistics
- Measurements
- Recruiting status
- Scholarship offers
- Awards and honors
- Contact information
URA reserves the right to correct, edit, remove, or refuse publication of information that cannot be verified or is believed to be inaccurate.
Media Release & Content Usage
By participating in URA programs, athletes and parents grant URA permission to use submitted photographs, videos, interviews, social media content, logos, and promotional materials for educational, marketing, editorial, recruiting awareness, media production, sponsorship, and promotional purposes. Ownership of original content remains subject to applicable copyright laws and licensing agreements.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, URA, its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, partners, volunteers, and representatives shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from participation in any URA program, service, subscription, NIL opportunity, affiliate partnership, merchandise program, event, or educational resource. Participation is voluntary and undertaken at the participant’s own risk.
No Guarantees Policy
URA cannot and does not guarantee:
- Scholarships
- Recruiting offers
- College roster spots
- NIL deals
- Brand partnerships
- Merchandise sales
- Social media growth
- Financial earnings
- Athletic success
- Professional opportunities
Results vary based on numerous factors including talent, academics, character, effort, marketability, timing, competition, and external circumstances beyond URA’s control.
Fraud Prevention & Platform Protection
URA maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward fraud, chargeback abuse, identity misrepresentation, unauthorized account use, fake profiles, deceptive marketing practices, artificial engagement, bot activity, or any attempt to manipulate platform services. URA reserves the right to suspend accounts, remove content, deny commissions, terminate subscriptions, pursue collection efforts, and cooperate with law enforcement or payment processors when fraudulent activity is suspected.
