BIOGRAPHY
Andrew “AJ” Gary Jr. is a Class of 2027 offensive lineman from Richmond, Virginia. He attends Huguenot High School and stands 6’0 “and weighs 256 pounds. He takes pride in playing a physical, disciplined style of football and focuses on executing his role every play to contribute to his team’s success.
His strengths include a strong work ethic, toughness, and a willingness to learn. AJ is committed to improving his technique, building strength, and developing into a more complete player. He takes coaching seriously and strives to remain consistent both on and off the field.
His goal is to play football at the next level while continuing to grow as both a player and a teammate. He remains focused on putting in the work every day and maximizing every opportunity he earns.

Andrew “AJ” Gary Jr. is a 2027 offensive lineman out of Richmond, Virginia, who brings a physical and disciplined presence to the trenches at 6-foot, 256 pounds. He shows a solid foundation for the position with a strong frame and the ability to anchor against defenders.
Gary plays with a tough, blue-collar mentality and embraces contact at the point of attack. He demonstrates good effort on every snap and works to finish blocks, which stands out on film. His willingness to do his job and execute assignments consistently makes him a reliable piece along the offensive line.
Technically, he shows developing hand placement and leverage, with continued upside as he refines his footwork and overall technique. His coachability and commitment to improvement are evident, as he continues to get stronger and more polished.

He began playing football in 2020 with the Central Virginia Hurricanes, a youth program based in the Richmond, Virginia area. During his time with the program, he played center and developed a strong foundation in the fundamentals of the game, including discipline, teamwork, and consistency.
His experience with the Hurricanes helped him understand the importance of hard work and accountability while preparing him for the transition to high school football. That early development built his confidence on the field and played a key role in shaping the player he is today.
During his freshman year, he was part of a team that finished 10–0 and captured the Dominion District Championship while averaging 55 points per game. Being part of such a dominant and successful team reinforced the importance of discipline, consistency, and executing his assignment on every play. It provided a strong foundation for his high school career and motivated him to continue improving and competing at a high level.
During his sophomore year, he continued to develop his fundamentals and overall understanding of the game while stepping into a larger role on the team. He focused on improving his strength, technique, and consistency at the center position, with particular attention to snapping accuracy and blocking assignments.
His team had another strong season, finishing as Dominion District Champions with a 10–0 record while averaging 55 points per game. Being part of a high-powered offense pushed him to remain disciplined and execute his responsibilities at a high level each game. The season helped build his confidence and reinforced what it takes to compete and win consistently.
His junior year has been one of the most important stages in his development as both a player and a leader. He continued to improve his strength, technique, and consistency at the center position while also expanding his role as a long snapper. He takes pride in controlling the line of scrimmage, communicating protections, and ensuring the offense operates efficiently on every play. His offseason and in-season focus has included improving his quickness off the ball, refining his blocking technique, and maintaining a physical mindset every snap.
During this year, his program also introduced a mentoring system that allows upperclassmen to guide and support younger players both on and off the field. Being involved in that initiative has helped him grow as a leader and understand the responsibility of setting the standard for the team. He takes pride in being someone younger players can look up to through his work ethic, accountability, and commitment to team success.
Throughout the season, his focus has remained on consistency, leadership, and continuing to develop the skills necessary to compete at the next level.
Heading into his senior year, his goal is to put everything together and perform at the highest level. He plans to continue developing his strength, technique, and football IQ while leading by example both on and off the field. He aims to be a key contributor to his team’s success and help position them for another championship run.
His focus will remain on consistency, discipline, and playing with intensity every game. This season is about proving he is ready for the next level and demonstrating to college coaches that he has the work ethic, leadership, and skill set to succeed within their program.
