BIOGRAPHY

Karson Lewis is a Class of 2029 defensive back at Whitefield Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. A lifelong football player who began playing the game at just three years old, Karson has developed into a tough, physical cornerback who brings leadership, competitiveness, and a high football IQ to the field.

As the oldest of four brothers, Karson embraces being a leader and takes pride in setting an example both on and off the field. Academically, he has maintained straight A’s every year since kindergarten, demonstrating the same discipline in the classroom that he brings to athletics.

A multi-sport athlete, Karson also competes in track and field and uses his track speed to his advantage at cornerback. His combination of speed, physicality, instincts, and football knowledge allows him to compete aggressively in coverage and make an impact in the secondary.

Away from sports, Karson enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and gaming. His goals include earning First Team All-Region and All-State honors and ultimately securing a college football scholarship that will allow him to continue his education while competing at the next level.

URA EVALUATION

Karson Lewis is an emerging Division I defensive back prospect with an advanced physical profile, proven varsity production, and significant developmental upside for a Class of 2029 athlete. At 5’10”, 165 pounds, Lewis already carries a strong, compact frame and combines physicality, speed, football IQ, and positional versatility.

Lewis made an early impact as a freshman, recording 47 total tackles, 30 solo tackles, and 7 pass breakups while earning Second Team All-Region honors. His background at quarterback and safety adds value to his evaluation, giving him an understanding of offensive concepts that translates to anticipation and awareness in the secondary. He is also a track athlete whose speed has helped his 4×100 relay team reach the state championships.

What makes Lewis particularly intriguing is that he isn’t limited to being a traditional outside corner. His physical style, tackling ability, coverage experience, and football intelligence provide potential long-term versatility at cornerback, nickel, or safety.

URA Division I Projection:

Lewis possesses several early traits associated with a future Division I defensive back prospect. His eventual level, FCS, Group of Five, or Power Four, will depend on continued physical development, verified speed and athletic testing, coverage progression, and production against high-level competition. With three high-school seasons remaining, his combination of early varsity success, athleticism, academics, and positional versatility makes him a 2029 prospect college programs should begin tracking now.
