Standing at 6-foot-0 and weighing 170 pounds as a sophomore, Kristopher McLaughlin is a dual-threat quarterback and wide receiver prospect out of New Orleans powerhouse St. Augustine High School. A native of New Orleans, McLaughlin approaches his athletic and academic craft with a rare, highly disciplined mindset.
He possesses an exceptional endurance engine built on the track with LA Elite Track under coach Gordon McKee, competing in both the 800-meter (2:17.00 PR) and 1600-meter events. McLaughlin combines a physical prototype with a high IQ refined by top-tier specialists: he honed his quarterback mechanics with James Washington, developed elite agility and footwork with Robby Green, DPT, and mastered wide receiver craft with former NFL pro Montrell “Black Jack” Jones.
In the classroom, McLaughlin is an exemplary scholar-athlete. A lifelong honors student and National Honor Society member, he has a deep passion for mathematics and architecture. His fascination with structure, geometry, and spatial design directly translates to his football IQ, allowing him to break down complex defensive coverages and route concepts.
His relentless work ethic extends far beyond team practices; McLaughlin maintains a strict home training regimen of daily pushups, squats, and constant study of quarterback index cards to master every nuance of the St. Aug playbook.
Off the field, McLaughlin remains deeply grounded in his roots, prioritizing family, faith, and continuous personal growth. He takes immense pride in absorbing everything taught by his coaches and teachers while staying close to his core support system, spending quality downtime playing backyard basketball with his brother, two sisters, and friends, or enjoying a box of doughnuts after a hard week of training.
