BIOGRAPHY

Jeffrey Velasco is a 13-year-old athlete from Murrieta, California, born in Riverside and raised with two older siblings. Both of his parents work in the medical field, and their dedication to their careers has inspired Jeffrey to pursue his own goals with the same level of focus, discipline, and determination.

Jeffrey is passionate about sports, academics, and spending time outdoors. He enjoys fishing with his family, riding bikes, snowboarding, and staying active in nature. While he participates in multiple sports, including baseball and basketball, his true love is football. His passion began the day his father took him to a Los Angeles Rams game, where the stadium’s energy and excitement sparked his dream of one day playing on a big stage. He deepened his understanding of the sport through Madden and sports media such as ESPN, learning about teams, players, and the game’s strategies.

Jeffrey began his athletic journey playing flag football before transitioning to tackle football with Murrieta Pop Warner. He first competed with the 10U Murrieta Hawkeyes, helping his team reach the 2023 West Coast Conference Championship against Torrey Pines. That same year, he also competed in the Turkey Bowl vs. Lakewood 10U in Fallbrook, CA. One of his biggest early highlights came when his Hawkeyes team traveled to Las Vegas to compete in the Pigskin Tournament at the All-American Sports Park, where they won the national championship in their division.

In 2024, Jeffrey played another season with Murrieta Pop Warner on the 11U Hawkeyes, leading the team back to the playoffs in the West Coast Conference. During the 2024–2025 season, he expanded his skill set by competing in 7-on-7 football with LEGACY, earning another opportunity to compete in Las Vegas. Shortly after, Jeffrey joined the Murrieta Junior All-American Broncos Jr. Peewee Gold Team for the 2025 season. There, he played a key role in helping the team win the 2025 Southern California Junior All-American Football Jr. Peewee Division 3 Championship.

Jeffrey has played both Safety and Running Back, showcasing versatility, toughness, and excellent instincts on both sides of the ball. Outside the classroom, he trains year-round with a private coach, working on agility, strength, and weight training to continually improve his game.

His coaches and peers describe him as hardworking, positive, quick to learn, and persistent, qualities that set him apart and fuel his long-term goals. Jeffrey dreams of playing high school football, earning a college scholarship, and eventually completing a college degree to make a meaningful impact on the world.

Grounded in his Christian faith, Jeffrey believes in hard work, gratitude, and trusting God’s plan. He credits his parents for raising him with strong values and supporting his journey every step of the way.
