BIOGRAPHY

From an early age, Daniel Thorpe showed a natural connection to the game of football. Born in Christiansburg, Virginia, he began playing in the local recreation league at just eight years old. What started as a youth pastime quickly evolved into a family tradition, with weekends spent inside the electric atmosphere of Lane Stadium cheering on Virginia Tech. Immersed in that environment, Thorpe developed a deep appreciation for the game—one that fueled his competitive edge and commitment to constant improvement.

As his skill set continued to expand, so did his responsibilities on the field. Thorpe played wide receiver and defensive back at Christiansburg Middle School before relocating to Maryland, where he joined the Southern Maryland Hawks and showcased his adaptability at running back and linebacker. His transition to high school football at Lackey High School was seamless, earning a starting role on junior varsity as a freshman and a midseason promotion to varsity—an early indicator of his trajectory.

Now at North Point High School, Thorpe continues to set the standard both academically and athletically. Enrolled in the school’s highly selective Career and Technical Education Automotive Technology Program, he has remained a consistent performer on one of Maryland’s top-ranked JV programs. Once again, his production, football IQ, and team-first mentality earned him a midseason call-up to the varsity roster, reinforcing his reputation as a dependable, high-upside athlete whose development continues to trend upward.

URA EVALUATION

Alexavier “Mayhem” McDonald is a long, athletic edge defender with a frame that college coaches dream of developing. At 6’4”, 210 pounds as a sophomore, he already possesses the build of an FBS outside linebacker or defensive end, garnering several FBS offers. His length, pursuit speed, and effort level jump off the tape. He plays with controlled aggression and finishes plays with physicality.

McDonald shows strong instincts for reading blocks and finding the football. His first step is disruptive off the edge, closing quickly on quarterbacks and ball carriers. His long stride and burst allow him to cover ground fast — traits that translate to both defensive schemes and special teams. His nickname “Mayhem” is earned — his presence creates chaos for offenses.

McDonald’s character and consistency make him a valuable addition to any collegiate roster. High ceiling with room to grow into a dominant edge or hybrid linebacker at the next level.
