As the primary setter in a 5–1 system for her nationally ranked 18s club team, Figueira demonstrates advanced court awareness, tempo control, and decision-making. She understands pace, spacing, and hitter distribution, and takes pride in running an efficient offense that limits errors while maximizing matchups. Competing with her travel team under head coach Matt Troy, now the women’s volleyball coach at Elon University, she played a key role in guiding the program through a highly competitive schedule and ultimately to a Nationals appearance. She helped lead her team to a statement victory over rival Westminster, a defining moment that reflected not only team progress but also her own growth in confidence, composure, and competitive presence. The win underscored her evolution into a poised floor general capable of steering her team through high-stakes matchups.
Her senior season reflected a polished and complete body of work. Operating in a 5–1 system for the second consecutive year, she maintained full playing time and took full command of the offense, directing tempo and distribution with confidence and control. With an experienced and cohesive roster around her, the team developed strong chemistry and made a deep postseason run, underscoring both collective growth and her steady leadership at the setter position.
As she closes out her high school career, she now turns her focus toward her upcoming senior club season, eager to build on that momentum against high-level travel competition and continue refining her game on a national stage.
