Started his freshman year at Bishop Canevin HS in Pennsylvania where he was a standout immediately at both defensive end and tight-end.
Transfer to Guthrie HS in Oklahoma where he made a big splash on varsity. He ended his sophomore campaign dominating his competition ending with 87 tackles (46 solo & 41 assist), 17 tackles for loss, 7 sacks and a interception in 14 games.
In track and field he finished third in States in the high jump.
