Olivia Symone’ Jones began her basketball journey in the 5th grade, competing in leagues throughout Newport News, Virginia. Early in her development, she joined her first AAU program, the Black Widows, based out of the Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton, VA. This experience provided her with early exposure to high-level competition and helped shape her understanding of the game.

 

Since then, Olivia has competed with six to seven AAU teams, each contributing to her continued growth and development. She also gained valuable experience competing with a Nike-affiliated team, further elevating her exposure and competitive edge. Recognized for her coachability, Olivia prides herself on her ability to adapt and contribute in multiple roles. Her experience across various teams has required her to quickly learn new systems, adjust to different coaching styles, and consistently meet team needs, all while maintaining a positive impact on the court.

 

Olivia brings versatility, discipline, and a strong work ethic to every team she joins. With a commitment to continuous improvement, she remains focused on refining her skills and maximizing her potential as she continues her basketball journey.

 

URA EVALUATION

 

Olivia Symone’ Jones is a versatile guard prospect with a strong two-way presence and an emerging skill set that translates well at the high school level. At 5’8”, she possesses good size for a combo guard, allowing her to impact the game both as a scorer and defensive playmaker.

 

Offensively, Jones consistently produces, averaging 15 points per game, with a scoring style that blends aggressiveness and control. She demonstrates confidence attacking the basket while also showing flashes of perimeter scoring ability. As a developing point guard, she has the tools to expand her playmaking; she contributed 2 assists per game and has room to grow in court vision and distribution. Her performance against Tabb High School, where she scored 24 points to lead the Bethel Bruins to victory, proves that she has what it takes to be a rising star in the 757. 

 

Defensively, Jones stands out as a high-impact player, averaging 8 steals per game, which highlights her instincts, anticipation, and active hands. She plays with energy on that end of the floor and has the ability to disrupt passing lanes and create transition opportunities. Her 4 rebounds per game further reflect her willingness to compete and contribute beyond her position.

 

Her versatility allows her to play both guard spots effectively, and her coachability and experience across multiple teams suggest a strong ability to adapt and improve. Early-stage prospect with strong two-way potential and positional versatility. Projects as a high-impact guard at the high school level with the ability to develop into a college-level player. Continued growth in playmaking, strength, and shooting efficiency will be key to maximizing her long-term ceiling.
