Brandon Nesbit Jr. is an exceptional running back who stands out due to his remarkable balance and power. His ability to maintain his footing and deliver powerful runs often deters defensive backs from attempting head-on tackles, leading them to opt for arm tackles instead. Recently transferring from Deep Creek High School to Oscar Smith High School, Nesbit has garnered significant attention. During his time at Deep Creek, he captivated fans with his exceptional skills, athleticism, and evident potential. Now, as a member of the Oscar Smith football program, he joins a storied team that boasts an impressive record, having won four State Championships, including two consecutive Class 6A Champions.

Brandon Nesbit’s playing style is defined by his explosive power and ability to run over opponents. He embodies the essence of power and determination on the gridiron, earning a reputation as a force to be reckoned with. Nesbit’s unyielding physicality leaves defenders in his wake, thanks to his imposing build and innate ability to initiate and absorb contact. His hard-charging approach consistently plows through would-be tacklers, gaining precious yards and setting a tone of intensity for his team. Nesbit’s “downhill” running style attacks the line of scrimmage with ferocity, relentlessly driving forward to gain yardage after every snap.

This style of play demoralizes opposing defenses, leading to crucial first downs and wearing down the front lines of the defense. Nesbit’s prowess in short-yardage situations, especially near the goal line or when the team needs to move the chains, highlights his reliability in critical moments. Additionally, Nesbit’s ability to maintain ball control and security, even in the face of hard hits, showcases his dedication to minimizing risks and protecting the team’s possession.

During his sophomore year, he showcased his exceptional skills as a running back in the 757 area. He made an impressive 158 attempts, resulting in 1016 yards gained and 16 touchdowns scored. As a result of his outstanding performance, he received first-team All-Region and second-team All-State Honors and garnered multiple Division 1 offers.
