Tristan Evans Trujillo Dominates Virginia High School Football To Become Player of The Year

After an impressive high school senior year, Tristan Evans Trujillo is set to continue his football career at Division III Stevenson University in Owings Mills, Maryland. Trujillo, the leading quarterback in the state with 3,754 passing yards and 52 touchdowns, led the Freedom Eagles to a perfect 14-0 season and their second consecutive Virginia 6A State Title, capped by a 43-34 victory over Highland Springs. Over 14 games, he set the Virginia all-time record for most touchdown passes in a career (121).

In his final year, Trujillo received numerous accolades, including Virginia Player of the Year, Cardinal District Offensive Player of the Year, and 1st Team All-Regional and District Honors. He was also a six-time WTOP and Prince William County Player of the Week, ranked 1st in the nation for completion percentage by Max Preps, 2nd in the nation for QB rating, 50th in the nation for passing yards, and 1st in Virginia for all QB passing stats.
