Jackson, a three-time Pro Bowler and one of the most electrifying wide receivers in NFL history joins a growing list of NFL alumni who are turning their attention to HBCU programs. The announcement follows Norfolk State’s recent hiring of Michael Vick as head coach, signaling a shift in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) toward attracting big-name talent with professional experience.

The Hornets face significant challenges, coming off a season in which they were outscored 408-212, including two shutout losses. However, Jackson’s extensive NFL experience and mentorship under coaches like Andy Reid and John Harbaugh have prepared him for the task ahead.
