The buzz on the social media on Saturday Morning was like a wildfire taking to dry brush. With the internet on fire about the 104 to 0 score between Phoebus High School and Jamestown High School. In Friday night’s victory against Jamestown, Phoebus extended their streak to eight shutouts this season. Their defense played outstanding yet again, conceding merely two points in the last seven games and only 10 points across 11 games. On the offensive front, they’ve maintained an impressive average of over 44 points per game. The Phantoms have won nine state champions in the past twenty two seasons.

On Friday night, the Phantoms set an astonishing pace, scoring 20 points within the initial 48 seconds of the game and managing to reach the end zone in 11 out of their first 13 plays. Phoebus voluntarily chose to halt the game twice—first when they held a commanding 56-0 lead after the first quarter and again at halftime when they were up 84-0. This decisive action culminated in a final score of 104-0, maintaining the two-time reigning state champs’ impressive streak.
