Under-Recruited Maryland Standout Malique Leatherbury Becomes Morgan State University’s Newest Offensive Threat
Malique Leatherbury has been turning heads since hitting the field at Hughes Stadium at Morgan State University. The URA Football 2022 Head-to-Head winner of our WR Competition, where fan crown the winner only solidified his impact in high school. The Wicomico High School standout used his combination of speed and athleticism to dominate the competition and cement his place as one of the most dynamic receivers out of Eastern Shores, Maryland.
At Wicomico High, Leatherbury was a game-changer. He was spectacular in his senior season, posting over 1,200 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns, earning him First-Team All-Bayside Conference honors. His elite speed was undeniable, and he could take the top of defenses and make contested catches in traffic.

Now, in his sophomore year, Malique Leatherbury has been a critical contributor to the Bears’ offense, consistently helping Morgan State move the chains.
